I really like the idea of capturing time and movement on a 2D surface. With this artwork, I am interested in tracking the movement of the woman's arm geometry through time as the shapes follow a bird's flight path. Or maybe she is reaching for multiple birds? Or maybe the woman has many arms caught in a single moment? She could be a Devi goddess, with multiple arms, taking care of her animal birds and snake. I was thinking about all of that while drawing.
I finished this piece in February, 2021 and its the first artwork I've made using Adobe Fresco. What a great and powerful program... it has quickly become a favorite way to work!
