Negative and positive space interplay, gentle hand gesture gives wild predator hugs.
I've always liked the way Strength is often portrayed in tarot card decks. The woman draws a lion close, soothing a wild animal with love and friendship. Calm and collected, overcoming her own fear, she tames the lion (or at least earns the lion's trust) with a disciplined inner strength. No brute force required, just determined compassion. The lion could represent her own raw animal instinct and passion, which she overcomes with courage and fortitude during moments of danger and distress.
I finished this artwork in the early spring of 2021, using Adobe Fresco, although the initial drawing below was made a few years earlier.
