I think of the woman caught in adultery and softly whisper, “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.”
Satan, the Accuser reviles, “So, you think yourself without sin? You could have thrown a stone at her! Why didn’t you?”
I do not answer him aloud but think, True. But mercy always trumps justice. I called her to repentance, never excusing her sin, and offered her a path to redemption. That is my purpose.
