I think I've finally finished this new artwork, called "Between the Trees". You can see the evolution of the idea below.
"Tree-in-the-face!" Some kid said that to me once while I was making art publicly for a chalk arts festival, which I think is funny, and I do love tree-people:
For the last while, a few years really, Ive had a clear idea on what I'd focus on creatively and I was determined not to get sidetracked... But I finally feel pretty well caught up. During that time I've also had a backlog of other ideas, and it feels nice to finally be working those out. So here is another tree in the face!
Another good old tree in the face! - treeintheface! - I've been drawing variations of these plantpeople lately... they're all pretty much to evolve the idea a little more each time. Taking what I like from the previous, updating with the next. Developing this for what might turn out to be the last image in my songsfromtheearth series. Whew, can't believe its nearly finished...:
